Author Biography

Ingrid Deringer was born in Saskatchewan, Canada and has lived on the East Coast, West Coast, and everywhere in between. She holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Women's Studies and is also an acupuncturist and wedding celebrant. She has worked in the health and wellness field for over 25 years. Now semi-retired, she loves to hang out with her four amazing grandchildren and spend winters in warm climates where she can write to her heart's content with her feet in the sand.

"Shall We Dance" is her first children's book, inspired by memories of her mother dancing in the kitchen—a tradition Deringer continues herself to this day.

Deringer is also the author of a novel, "If I Could Live Again," which is to be released in the summer of 2021. She is currently working on a second novel and a short story.
