Believe it or not, oftentimes sharks need to hide, and it's not just to pounce on some unsuspecting prey. They also need to hide from other predators to avoid being eaten, or perhaps from being the next catch by a fishing boat. Whether using camouflage, sucking up water to swell to a larger size to fool other fish, or using larger-than-normal eyes to trick predators into thinking they're too large to eat, sharks have adapted in many ways to ensure that they survive.
