Eedoo begins on a Nineday morning under the sapphire blue sky of Plash—a small exotic planet in a parallel universe where red-eyed scruffbirds nest in purple bushes, pink laffodil flowers giggle in the wind among stealthy boa vines (half plant, half reptile) and fantastic foons (fox/raccoons), and Broanians pray to the O.B.E. (One Behind Everything), honor the L.O.B. (Law of Boomerang), and wear heavy boots to stay grounded in the low-gravity atmosphere.
Sharoo, the fearless heroine of this delightful tale, is eleven. Eedoo is timeless, and (unlike so many on Plash) Sharoo trusts hers completely. It guides her through everything—to the powerful witch Zaura, into service of Broan's King and Queen of Broan, and to giant-to-girl combat with the fierce Mygor, champion of the cruel and merciless Glyzeans, who want to destroy Broan.
