Author Biography

Marí a Luisa Femení as (Buenos Aires, August 18, 1950) is an Argentine feminist philosopher, academic, researcher and writer. A pioneer in gender studies in Argentina, in her research projects she has worked on the notion of subject and identity, focusing on questions of multiculturalism, exclusion and situated knowledge, as well as on violence against women in Latin America. His work was key to the consolidation of the "Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies" of the National University of La Plata. In 2016 he received the Konex Foundation national award.
