The book was born of the author's desire to travel and meet people, to make friends with people who could bring new inspiration and insight to his world-people he believed could widen his perspectives with creative wisdom. The artists interviewed and featured are all avant-garde in their own right and have relentlessly worked at developing new ideas and new ways of looking at the world. And although they might disagree they are traditional in one sense: they are totally devoted to their work.
