Born in Romania in 1933, Sorel Etrog immigrated to Canada in 1963 and quickly established himself as one of North America's pre-eminent sculptors. With illustrations of works from all the major stages of the artist's career, a text by the distinguished critic, Pierre Restany, as well as commentaries by the artist, this monograph is the most comprehensive ever published on Sorel Etrog.

The volume divides Etrog's work into its major categories: Painted Wood Constructions of the 1950s, Links, Screws and Bolts, Hinges, Steel Constructions, Rivets, and Composites. As well as illustrating the individual aspects of Etrog's oeuvre, the monograph contains a list of exhibitions and a full biography. It accompanies an exhibition at Bushlen Mowatt Galleries in Vancouver, Canada, and in Palm Desert, California.
