Summary

Tired of Office books that read as though Microsoft employees wrote them? Tired of books containing little more than you can pull from the Help system? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then you owe it to yourself to get a copy of this book. Most books written on Microsoft products simply parrot the information found in the Help files or the Microsoft Knowledge Base. Not this book. It has been written by the Office Dream Team, Ed Bott and Woody Leonhard, the most well recognized and respected authoring team in the business. Even the Office development team at Microsoft listens when these guys speak! Not only do Ed and Woody show you the best way to solve problems, they point out what works and what doesn't with a no holds barred approach.Unlike most CDs pasted into the back of computer books, this book offers one that rivals the book in terms of value. You receive a FREE copy of Woody's Office Power Pack (WOPR) - the #1 enhancement to Office. This software sells for $49.99 but you get it for free here - no strings attached!

Author Biography

Ed Bott is a best-selling author of 20 computer books and an award-winning computer journalist with two decades of experience in the personal computer industry. For nearly 10 years he was responsible for PC Computing magazine's extensive coverage of every conceivable flavor of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. For a recent book on computer security, Ed won an international award of merit from the Society for Technical Communication. He is a three-time winner of the Computer Press Award, and he and Woody Leonhard won the prestigious Jesse H. Neal Award, sometimes referred to as "the Pulitzer Prize of the business press," in back-to-back years for their work on PC Computing's "Windows SuperGuide." He lives in an extremely civilized corner of the Arizona desert with his wife, Judy, and two amazingly smart and affectionate cats, Katy and Bianca.

Woody Leonhard describes himself as a "Certified Office Victim." With more than 20 computer books under his belt, he's seen parts of Office that would curl your hair. Woody's best known as the publisher of Woody's Office Watch, the feisty, weekly, no-holds-barred (and absolutely free) electronic newsletter that specializes in holding Microsoft's feet to the fire. More than half a million people subscribe to WOW and Woody's other newsletters (http://www.woodyswatch.com). He and his cohorts are also responsible for "Woody's Office POWER Pack," the number-one add-on to Microsoft Office. Woody has won eight Computer Press Awards and, with Ed, two American Business Press Association awards. He and his son recently gave up the Colorado mountain scene, and now bask in the glorious sun on Phuket Island, Thailand.
