In an effort to bridge the gap between known historical events of slavery in 18th and 19th century America, James Peters II details the life and work of an American visionary prophet and writer. Walker, a leading abolitionist, envisioned the eventual emancipation of slaves in the South and the war that it would take to accomplish this.

Author Biography

James S. Peters, II received his Ph.D. in Counseling and Clinical Psychology from Purdue University where he was a Veterans Administration Fellow and Research Associate. His undergraduate degree was completed at Southern University, Baton Rouge, Lousiana. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Social Psychology from the Hartford Seminary Foundation; Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, Illinois Institute of Technology; and has done graduate work in Psychology at the University of Chicago, where he was a Clinical Psychology intern in the Veterans Administration Program. Dr. Peters did post-doctoral studies at Harvard University in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. At the present time he is an independent practitioner of Psychology.
