Summary

Given the imperfections of our society and the apparent downward spiral of spiritual and moral values seen in recent years; loving, caring and respecting someone has almost become a thing of the past. Indeed, these once natural emotions and reactions to one another seem to have diminished so rapidly that even finding true, loyal friends, acquaintances and family members who support and encourage you and who partake in your successes can be difficult. Perhaps I am too critical when I say this but maybe it's because it is this context in which I consider the following true story of a man who felt significant pain, and reflects the context in which I have endured my own pain over time. This book has been difficult for me to write. There are sections where I will be explaining certain things to you, the reader, about my very own thoughts and feelings regarding the hurtful insinuations and malicious gossip certain people have spread around about me to try and discredit me and bring about my downfall. You will find that I haven't mentioned any 'real' names or named places of where events have taken place. Instead I have gathered together information on the situations I have endured, and of those that apply to the story provided here that of a man who felt immense pain, How deeply we who love the Lord God desire to follow him and draw strength from him in order to gain power to surmount all the difficulties and test and conflicts in life in the same exultant and triumphant way that he had previously displayed. To learn the secret of 'victorious living' has been the heart's desire of those who love the Lord God, in every generation. We who follow God all strive to help victims find hope and victory here on this earth and during this life. We hope that through our input, they will be able to always react to evil, tribulation, sorrow, pain and every negative situation that they experience in such a way that allows them to transform their emotions into something positive and that they too seek to praise God forever.

Excerpts

On a warm summers day, with a clear blue sky in the middle of August, one young man by the name of Peter was travelling by train into Scotland. The train sped on, mostly along the coast, though it sometimes went inland for a few miles. Peter enjoyed the long train ride into Scotland. The train stopped at varies stations along the route. 'Soon be there now', said Peter, in a strong, determined voice to his Faye. By this time Faye was getting excited and also tried to look out of the window. From beyond the window of the slowly moving train rose a tall, steep hill, whose rocky sides were as steep as Rogers! It was covered with buildings which, even from that distance, looked old and quaint. The children gazed across at this mysterious place - 'it looks exciting and picturesque, certainly – but also rather forbidding', they thought. His youngest child Luis, still trying to peek out of the window, shouted to his big brother; 'We're coming into Inverness Train Station! I do hope Aunt Joy will be there to meet us.' The train had a line of sparkling round buttons set all along the middle, and the driver pushed one which switched on the radio, allowing him to announce to all aboard, 'We are coming into Inverness'. 'This entire town is still surrounded by a wall, just as it used to be in the olden days,' said Peter. 'It's just as wide as it is long, I bet if you started walking from a certain place and walked round along the coast for long enough you would properly come right back to the place you started at.' 'I would love to see that!' said Faye. 'It's nice to be here on holiday after all these years', Peter said. 'I so love my Aunt Joy, it is going to be such fun being at her home again. I know this will be such an exciting holiday for all of us.' 'The most exciting adventure holiday we will probably have.' It was as if Peter and Faye had been banking on this trip to bring clarity back into their lives. 'Can you remember', said Peter to his Faye, 'when last we had a holiday on our own with just the children?' 'No' said Faye, 'I cannot; so we'd better make the most of it. This is going to be a nice holiday I can feel it. We can go for long walks to visit the different parks and perhaps go shopping on the big red trams.' At Inverness Train Station Aunt Joy was there to meet them all. The children, Peter and Faye jumped out onto the platform and rushed to hug her, but Peter got there first. He was very fond of his gentle aunt, who had so often tried to shield him when his father got angry with him. All the children loved Aunt Joy, for she was loyal, loving and faithful. But the person Aunt Joy loved most, of course, was Peter's middle son, Charlie. Charlie was always very helpful, and always very careful never to hurt people's feelings.
