Author Biography

Rob Trucks is on the thin side of handsome, a veritable pole vault stanchion of a man. He is the author of Cup of Coffee: The Very Short Careers of Eighteen Major League Pitchers (Smallmouth Press, 2003) and The Pleasure of Influence: Conversations with American Male Fiction Writers (Purdue University Press, 2002). He lives and writes about baseball, literature and music for Spin, Newsweek.com, BookForum, East Bay Express, Philadelphia Weekly, San Diego CityBeat, Cleveland Scene, Baltimore City Paper, Boulder Weekly, and Houston Press, among other publications, from his closet-sized apartment in Long Island City, NY, but longs to move to Albany so he can truthfully call himself an Albanian.
