Author Biography

Susan K. Mitchell is a full-time preschool teacher and mother of two young daughters. Stone Pizza is her first published picture book. As a mother, teacher, and writer, she adds a dose of humor into everything around her. Susan has written for numerous children's magazines and is the author of another picture book, The Rainforest Grew All Around. She also writes non-fiction books, such as a biography of actor Will Smith. In addition to writing for children, Susan writes monthly for Style & Living magazine in Houston.She currently resides north of Houston, Texas, with her husband, two daughters, one German Shepherd, two kittens, and an adopted pet squirrel with a weight problem. Everything is how she likes it à silly and fun!
