Author Biography

Yukio sawada was born on March 12, 1953, in Osaka, Japan. He made his debut in 1980 with Notteru Hero-kun (Hero-kun on the Move) in Tokuma Shoten’s T.V. Land magazine. He is most known for his long-running series Super Mario-kun (Shogakukan), currently serialized in Coro Coro Comics and Coro Coro Ichiban. He is also the manga creator of Super Mario Brothers 2 (Tokuma Shoten), Ore da-yo! Wario da-yo!! (It’s Me! Wario!!) (Shogakukan), and many other series. Sawada was the recipient of the 65th Shogakukan manga award in 2020.
