Author Biography

Journalist and sportswriter Martin Dugard has covered adventure racing since its inception. Well known for his reporting of endurance sports events, he is a frequent contributor to Sports Illustrated, GQ, Esquire, and other magazines, as well as the author of two previous books. Also a marathoner and triathlete, Dugard is a coholder of the around-the-world speed record. He and his family live in Orange County, California.
