Author Biography

Theodore Payne, born in England, spent a long and productive life (into his 90s) as a visionary for the preservation of native plants. He grew colorful demonstration gardens all over the Southland and convinced many to pursue gardening in harmony with our native climate -- a goal very desirable today.
