Summary

Beginning as early as 1828, two years prior to the organization of the Church, Mormonism¿s founding prophet Joseph Smith began issuing doctrinal pronouncements with the voice of divine authority declaring, ¿This is my [God¿s] doctrine¿ (D&C 10:67). In this volume Charles Harrell looks at various Latter-day Saint beliefs ranging from the nature of God to conceptions of the resurrection and final judgment, showing how these foundational beliefs have developed and changed from the times of the Old Testament through early Christianity and into modern Mormonism.
