His interests include comparative and critical perspectives on the politics of ethnic minority accommodation, interpretive policy analysis and social theory.
Tariq Modood is Founding Director of the University of Bristol's Research Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship, UK. He has held over 40 grants and consultancies in the UK, US and Europe. He has published widely on political philosophy, sociology and public policy. Recent publications include Multiculturalism: A Civic Idea, and Still Not Easy Being British: Struggles for a Multicultural Citizenship.
