Author Biography

Allan Curless worked as a political cartoonist for 16 years, working mainly for the Sunday Times. His first children's book, Cat's Song with Andrew Matthews, was shortlisted for the Mother Goose Award and the Smarties Prize in 1994. He illustrated the chapter icons for the popular Redwall children’s series by Brian Jacques. Curless passed away in 1997.

Mauro Mazzara started drawing at the age of two…and he still hasn't stopped! He attended the Arte & Messaggio Illustration school in Milan before studying painting at the Brea Art Academy. He now works as a freelance illustrator for the fashion, publishing, and advertising industries.
