Summary

Provides in-depth coverage of organic stereochemistry. Topics include a discussion of aldol diastereoselection under thermodynamic & kinetic control, enantioselection in aldol condensations involving chiral reactants, applications of molecular mechanics calculations to organic chemistry, & much more. Brings together the disciplines of surface chemistry & stereochemistry to demonstrate that the properties of stereoisomers may be useful in extending the understanding of the weak yet important molecular forces that operate in surface monolayers.
