Author Biography

Jacob Richler writes regularly on food for Macleans and is the editor and chief critic for their annual Best 50 Restaurants in Canada issue. He was the inaugural restaurant critic for the National Post and has co-authored two cookbooks, one with Mark McEwan and one with Susur Lee. In October, Penguin will publish his book on Canadian cuisine, My Canada Includes Foie Gras.

George Fischer is one of Canada’s most renowned and prolific landscape photographers. He has produced over forty books and fifty art posters and his work has also appeared on the covers of numerous international magazines and newspapers, and in the promotional publications of tourism agencies around the world. His book Unforgettable Canada was on the Globe and Mail's bestseller list and sold over 75,000 copies.
