Summary

Author Mary Blayney delivers a love story as surprising as it is seductive...the tale of a man imprisoned for a crime he didn't commitonly to be rescued by a woman who may hold the greatest danger of all. She steals into his French prison cell dressed as a nun and orders him to change places with another man. After eight hellish months, David Pennistan is free. But freedom comes at a price. The accused traitor is now at the mercy of Charlotte Parnell, an enigmatic beauty who refuses to reveal why she rescued him from the gallows. Desperate to return to England and clear his name, David agrees to accompany Charlotte on a journey that will test them in ways neither could imagine. For she has underestimated the man whose life she risked her own to save, a sensual stranger who awakens a passion that culminates in a night of exquisite lovemaking. And when Charlotte abruptly vanishes from his life, David will not rest until he finds her againno matter what the cost....
