Author Biography

Kerstin Martens is Associate Professor of International Relations at the University Of Bremen, Germany. She is co-editor of New Arenas of Education Governance (Palgrave 2007).
Alexander-Kenneth Nagel is Assistant Professor of Sociology of Religion at the Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany. His current research interests are institutional change in policy networks and faith-based organizations as social service providers. His recent publications examine the Bologna Process as a policy network and apocalyptic thought in modern times.
Michael Windzio is Professor of Sociology, Department of Social Sciences, University of Bremen, Germany. His current work encompasses social networks of immigrant children in school classes, economic sociology of immigrant integration, life course research, spatial labor mobility, multi-level event-history analyses and juvenile delinquency.
Ansgar Weymann is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Empirical and Applied Sociology (EMPAS) at the University of Bremen, Germany. His areas of expertise include social theory, social change, life course research and longitudinal and international comparative studies of education and employment.
