A guidebook to walking the 272km (169 mile) GR70 trail between Le Puy-en-Velay and Alès. This long-distance trek through France’s Central Massif follows in the footsteps of writer Robert Louis Stevenson and his donkey Modestine, which he described in his book ‘Travels with a Donkey in the Cévennes’. The route is suitable for both first-time and experienced trekkers and can be walked in under 2 weeks.
