Author Biography

Kathryn Hilgenkamp, Ed.D., is a mental health counselor and has taught health education at several colleges and universities. Judith Harper is a writer of nonfiction and a former text-book editor. Elizabeth Boskey, Ph.D., is a writer, editor, and educator with experience in the fields of science, math, and health. Robert N. Golden, M.D., is dean of the School of Medicine and Public Health and vice chancellor for medical affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Golden is a Fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Fred L. Peterson, Ph.D., is an associate professor of health education at the University of Texas at Austin. A contributing author to National Health Education Standards: Achieving Excellence (2007), Dr. Peterson's primary areas of scholarship within child, adolescent, and school health include adolescent risk-taking behavior, teacher health literacy, and global warming education.
