Plant life management (PLiM) is a safety-based methodology for the management of nuclear power plants over their entire lifetime. It is used by plant operators and regulators to assess the condition of nuclear power plant, and to establish the technical and economic requirements for safe, long-term operation. This book critically reviews the fundamental ageing-degradation mechanisms that affect nuclear power plant structures, systems and components (SSC), along with relevant analysis and modelling methods and mitigation paths.
