Author Biography

Guillaume Picon is a French historian, specializing in the study of institutional archives, an editor, and an exhibition curator. He is the author of Versailles: A Private Invitation (Flammarion, 2019). Francis Hammond's photographs have been published in many books, including Trianon and the Queen's Hamlet at Versailles (2019), Versailles: A Private Invitation (2011/2017), Historic Houses of Paris (2010/2019), A Day at Versailles (2013), and A Day at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte (2015).
