Author Biography

Jane Aaron gained her PhD from Oxford University and is now a Professor of English at the University of Glamorgan. She teaches Welsh writing in English, English Romanticism and literary research methodology. She is Editor of the Honno Welsh Women's Classics series for which she has edited several volumes. Jane has also published several books in both the English and Welsh languages, winning the 2009 Roland Mathias Prize for 'Nineteenth-century Women's Writing in Wales: Nation, Gender and Identity', her work of literary history and criticism. Dr Ursula Masson was a well-respected historian at the University of Glamorgan. Ursula's work was largely devoted to Welsh women and politics. This commitment to women and politics was evident in all of her work as well as well in her life and her friendships. It was always Ursula's desire to celebrate the lives and the achievements of ordinary women, and to emphasize the extraordinary work of ordinary women. The University of Glamorgan now holds an Ursula Masson Memorial Prize.
