Author Biography

David Marsden is Professor of Industrial Relations at the London School of Economics, UK and a Research Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance. He did his doctoral work at the Laboratoire d'Economie et de Sociologie du Travail (CNRS), Aix-en-Provence, where he developed his interest in the comparative study of labour markets and labour institutions, and how these affect the internal workings of organizations.
Francois Rycx is Associate Professor of Economics at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. He is affiliated to the Centre Emile Bernheim (CEB) and the Department of Applied Economics of ULB (DULBEA), Research Fellow of the Insitute for the Study of Labor (IZA), Bonn, and a national correspondent of the Applied Econometrics Association. His research is concerned with labour, personnel and international economics.
