Summary

All my time is free time now that I am 74 years old. I quite busy. I volunteer Monday, Thursday and Friday of every week. I play 42 [a domino game] at senior citizens on Tuesdays and I play 42 at the church on Wednesdays. I work out at the YMCA Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings every week. And I bowl on Thursday mornings. I save my weekends for house work and laundry and other stuff. I will write at night when I can't sleep. I do all of this to keep fit and healthy. MR Myers

I was still looking for a house I could buy and my brother told me to look at double wide trailers. I found one not real big but big enough. Three bedrooms, two baths, a living room and kitchen. I wouldn't have a garage but I could buy a shed and put my thing in it like a lawnmower and other stuff. I found a lot that I could put my trailer on and bought it. Not the best part of town but I could afford it. That Friday I went into work and they said we were having a party and there were gift and all kinds of stuff laying around. I ask what kind of party and my boss said a retirement party. I felt like a nut and I said whose. My boss said yours. I said I am not retiring I am still young. The boss said you no longer have a job here so you can retire or be fired. [my boss was now a lady boss that did not like me. ] I retired and did not know what to do with my self. I tried to find a job but no one hires a 65 year old with limited qualification. I did not want to stay at home doing nothing. I join church women United, I really was enjoying it and it came time for a tour of three different nonprofit organizations. I went on the tour and really enjoyed it. We went to rape crisis and I don't know what happen to me. We were all ready to leave and I said I had to go back in and talk to someone. I ask if they had volunteers and the lady said yes and I said I wanted to volunteer. She told me I would have to go through training and to come in the next morning. I got on the bus and went home with a much lighter heart. I took the training and now I am an advocate for rape crisis. It is the most awarding job I have ever had. I can help kids that are in the same place that I once was. Only I'll be there to help them not to condemn them. I have no hard feeling toward my dad, I think he did what he thought was right. You should never condemn a person unless you know where they came from. I've gotten started in another church and I am making friend in other places. It is as if I have started over. I still have my friends Ima and Mae. I met two women Lana and Beth. I go out and eat a lot with Beth and Lana lives across the street from me. And I have my children and grandchildren. I may only have 3 of my 6 children but I have 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. I also have challenges. My grandson Lee III is wanting me to do a DNA test to make sure he is who he thinks he is . I don't know if that will be a problem or not with my son. I told him no matter what the test proves he will always be my grandson. And he agreed
