Author Biography

Mercer Mayer was born in Arkansas in 1943. When he was 13 years old, his family moved to Hawaii. He attended Honolulu Academy of Arts. Then, he went to New York City and the Art Students League. A few years later, he began writing children's books. Then he moved to New England. He and his wife, Gina, write the Little Critter stories together.
