God never asks us to do anything that he has not given us the ability to do. In fact, God never asks us to do anything that he has not already done for us in Jesus Christ. When God gives us a command, he gives us the power to do it. When God says "believe," he also sends his Holy Spirit to create faith in our hearts. When he tells us to "be," he also makes us into what he wants us to be. It is this great Biblical truth that inspired the devotions in this book: Be what God has made you! The words are simple.
