Author Biography

Felicity Klos is a home-schooled high school student living in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her family.

She became interested in being a care partner for a loved one with Parkinson's disease when her grandmother, Judy, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Felicity loves spending time with her grandparents and baking delicious treats for them to enjoy. She made this book possible by helping to design the questionnaires for people with PD, facilitating the advisor meetings, collecting and analyzing the data, and proofing the manuscript.

Felicity enjoys a number of extracurricular interests including playing varsity basketball, painting, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kevin Klos is the founder and Movement Disorder Specialist of the Movement Disorder Clinic of Oklahoma. He completed his training in Neurology residency and Movement Disorders fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He has a large clinical practice in Tulsa caring for over 2000 people with Parkinson's disease traveling from a five-state region. Dr. Klos's practice includes medical management of symptoms, management of infusion pumps and deep brain stimulation therapy.

He is a principal investigator for international research studies in Parkinson's disease designed to find new therapeutics for disease modification and symptomatic relief.

He is the author of "You are a Better Parkinson's Disease Caregiver than You Think." (2020) Dr. Klos is a speaker nationally on research advances in Parkinson's disease as well as caregiving for loved ones with Parkinson's disease. He has first-hand experience with caregiving for a loved one with Parkinson's disease with his mom, Judy, who has battled the disease for over 10 years. He hosts a podcast for caregivers of loved ones with Parkinson's disease.

His mission is to bring better treatment solutions to people with Parkinson's disease and to equip care partners and caregivers to better care for their loved ones.
