Scott Menchin has written and illustrated many books for children, including Taking a Bath with the Dog and Other Things That Make Me Happy, which received the Christopher Medal. He has also illustrated numerous texts by other writers, including Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, and Doreen Cronin. Scott wrote Grandma In Blue With Red Hat, which was illustrated by Harry Bliss. He lives in New York City where he teaches at Pratt Institute.
