Excerpts

Children are a beautiful thing that we as parents have been blessed with. We as parents must cherish them, love them and protect them from harm. They are placed in our lives for you as a parent to make sure that they can be all that they can be. You are supposed to be their number one fan and cheerleader. You are suppose to make sure that they are equipped with survival skills for the then and now. You are supposed to make sure that you are there for them when they need you. No one is supposed to come before your children. When they were conceived you should have known that there would be a lot of sacrifices that you as a parent are going to have to make. So why is it that I see some parents not doing all that they can to make sure that their child(ren) are doing okay? Why is there so many problems finding the dads and making them pay for their child? Why is there so much poverty among children who are in single family homes? Why is it that a man feels that he can just walk away from his son or daughter and think that it is okay? Then they have the audacity to get mad when the child support papers arrive at their home or job. Why are you so surprised when you were the one who walked out and left your child behind? Why must someone force you to take care of your child after all they did not ask to be here? I know some of you guys think that it is okay to walk away and never look back. I know that you think this is the coolest thing to do is to leave your child hungry and homeless. I know you think it is cool for you to buy those $120 Nike, Jordan's, and whatever else when your child needs braces and clothes himself. I know you think that it is cool to marry someone else who has no children so that you can pretend that you do not have any. I know that you think that it is cool to go buy a car that you can't really afford while your child needs you to make a difference in their lives. Why must you keep being like this? Have you ever asked yourself why do you keep abandoning your children? Do you even care? Did this happen to you? Did someone give up on you, so you thought that maybe this would be your excuse too?
