Summary

Two suites Debussy composed specifically for piano four hands, Petite Suite and Six Epigraphes Antiques, plus his own transcriptions of two of his most famous orchestral works, Prelude a l'Apres-midi d'un Faune (two pianos) and Printemps (piano four hands). Reprinted from authoritative French editions, these works, ranging widely in mood, display the brilliant pianism at the heart of Debussy's musical imagery.

Author Biography

French composer Claude Debussy (1862–1918) was one of the most prominent figures in the field of impressionist music, although he disliked the term when applied to his own compositions. A central figure in European music at the turn of the 20th century, he was named Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in 1903.
