Author Biography

Karen Bischoff is a former managing editor of Dolls: The Collector's Magazine and of Dollmaking magazine. She has been active in the world of doll collecting through her memberships in the United Federation of Doll Clubs and Original Doll Artists Council of America. She currently works in educational book publishing, while continuing to write for Dolls magazine. Joan Muyskens Pursley joined the staff of Collector Communications Corporation (CCC) in 1987 as managing editor of its five publications. Since then she has served as editor of Dolls, Dollmaking, Miniature Collector and Collector Editions. Today, she is vice president/editorial director for CCC and editor of Collector Editions. She is a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, the American Society of Magazine Editors, and The Society of Professional Journalists.
