Author Biography

 Janice Colwell RN, MS, CWOCN, FAAN has 35 years of experience in the field of wound ostomy and skin care.  She has served as President of the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society and served on numerous committees for the WOCN.  She has presented nationally and internationally within this specialty field. Colwell is currently president of Friends of Ostomates Worldwide USA as well as a wound ostomy skin care nurse at the University of Chicago Medicine.


Jane Carmel MSN, RN, CWOCN has held the title of Program Co-Director of Harrisburg WOCNEP for 12 years. Prior to that, she served as a consultant for Berkshire Hospice and worked as a Program Director for Albany Medical Center.
