Author Biography

Mary Rose, recently retired from the classroom after nearly four decades of teaching, was active with several state and national assessments projects, trained as a scorer for the Florida State Writing Assessment, and helped write the reading portion of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. She continues to present at state and national conferences and is a national consultant on improving scores on writing assessments. Mary Rose is an advisor for Storyworks magazine, a contributor to Scholastic’s Printables project, and the author of several professional books, all published by Scholastic.
