Author Biography

A newcomer to Marvel Comics, Akira Yoshida has quickly carved a reputation as an emerging young writer. Yoshida first gained attention with Thor: Son of Asgard, illustrated by artist Greg Tocchini. The unexpected success of Yoshida's compelling chronicles of a young Thor quickly prompted an extension of the series past the initial six-issue run. Yoshida has also scripted Elektra: The Hand with artist Christian Gossett and Wolverine: Soultaker - a solo tale of the popular X-Man woven around the rich legacy of Japanese myths, magic and history. Yoshida's recent Age of Apocalypse event featured a long-anticipated return to the dystopic alternate X-Men reality. Since making his comics debut in the early 1990s at Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios, Canadian artist Pat Lee has become a leading creative force in the industry. As the head of Dreamwave Studios, Lee's unique artistic style melding American and Japanese comic sensibilities was the driving force behind Warlands, Echo and Darkminds. In 2002, Lee re-introduced The Transformers to a 21st century audience, propelling the revitalized comic-book series to chart-busting sales as well as critical acclaim. In addition, Lee lent his artistic talents to Wolverine/Punisher: Revelations for Marvel Comics.
