White III, MD, PhD, is a professor of orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School, former orthopedic surgeon-in-chief at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and the Ellen and Melvin Gordon Distinguished professor of Medical Education. Preston J. Phillips, MD, MS, is an associate at the Warren Orthopedic Institute and a past president of the Washington State Orthopedic Association.
