Author Biography

Michael Domjan is Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department at the University of Texas at Austin, where he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in learning since 1973. He has served as Editor of the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Animal Behavior Processes and Associate Editor of Learning and Motivation. He is noted for his research on food-aversion learning and learning mechanisms in sexual behavior. He is recipient of the G. Stanley Hall Award from the American Psychological Association, and his research on sexual conditioning was selected for a MERIT Award by the National Institutes of Mental Health. His textbook, The Principles of Learning and Behavior, is now in its fourth edition.
