Sahra Indio, a native of Philadelphia, embarks on her literary journey with "MySillyO the Plastic Digester," introducing readers to a unique environmental superhero. Her characters are eco-conscious champions who stand up against corrupt corporate polluters.

Residing off-grid in a rural agricultural community on the Big Island of Hawaii with her husband, Sahra tends to her avocado crops while defending them against hungry wild boars. Her inspiration for writing stems from her involvement with Recycle Hawaii's Artist and the Environment Program, where she visited island schools to educate students on the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling waste to preserve natural resources.

Passionate about nurturing an environmentally conscious mindset in curious elementary and middle school students, Sahra strives to share a holistic perspective on stewardship of the Earth, even when young minds may not realize the impact they can have.
