Author Biography

Daniel Siwek loves the House of Blues—from his first time there in 1995 as a Bootsy Collins fanatic to covering shows for outlets like Music Connection and the Village Voice Media. Music journalism is only his excuse to get on the list; once inside, he’s as big a music freak as ever. He lives in Los Angeles, California. Dan Aykroyd was born in Ottawa, Canada on July 1, 1952. An acclaimed actor, writer, musician, and nationally syndicated radio host, Aykroyd has been nominated for both a Grammy and an Oscar. A philanthropist and entrepreneur by nature, he helped create the House of Blues brand with cofounder Isaac Tigrett in 1992. Dan Aykroyd spends time in both the United States and Canada. Ron Bension is Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation's House of Blues, Clubs and Theaters, the largest collection of live entertainment clubs and theaters in the world. His goal is to have “our legendary properties serve as a home for emerging artists and the place major stars want to get as close as possible to their audiences.” Ron resides in Pasadena, California.
