Author Biography

Jerry P. White is currently Co-Chair of the Aboriginal Policy Research Conference and Director of the Aboriginal Policy Research Consortium (International). Dr. White is the Dean for Graduate Studies and Policy for the Faculty of Social Science. He currently serves on the Board of Governors and the Senate for UWO and Kings University and sits as President of the Board of the Museum of Ontario Archeology. Dr. White has won numerous teaching awards and has authored, co-authored and edited 14 books including Aboriginal Conditions: Research as a Foundation for Policy(UBC Press 2003), Aboriginal Education: Current Crisis, Future Alternatives (TEP 2009) and the ongoing series Aboriginal Policy Research. Jodi Bruhn completed a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and an M.A. in Political Science at the University of Calgary. Formerly a senior researcher with the Aboriginal Governance program at the Institute on Governance, Jodi now works for the Office of the Federal Interlocutor for Mtis and Non-Status Indians where she manages the Office's Aboriginal, Policy Research Network on policy issues affecting urban, Mtis and non-status Indians.
