Summary

Mother and daughter Tina and Taneka Tate reside in a small Mississippi Delta town. Tina is a thirty something, too young to be a grandmother, who still loves to get her party on. After her abusive husband, Melvin goes to prison for ten years, she is left to take care of a small daughter on her own. Times grew hard but Tina made ends meet over the years the best she knew how; and like so many young females, her beautiful daughter Taneka grew up all too fast. Taneka becomes a mother at an early age and ends up quitting school. Taneka becomes involved with a local drug dealer who offers her the world. After an early release from prison, Melvin comes back into their lives; an uncertain path for them begins to unfold.
