Mark G. McKenney, MD, is professor of surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine in the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.

George Velmahos, MD, Ph.D., is chief of trauma, emergency surgery, and surgical critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital, and professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School.
