Memoirs of a Sojourner

Welcome and thank you for this moment! The purpose of our time together is for me to encourage you to read the preserved Word of God cover-to-cover repeatedly without ceasing. To promote God's Word, which is in perfect order from creation to the return of Christ, this writing is a brief autobiography that became the springboard for my patchwork of thoughts. The inspiration of each chapter is from my daily Bible reading. Some chapters are responses to statements and/or questions of friends, theologians, and seekers of Truth. Some are the result of "searching the Scriptures daily." I read and write to better understand what I believe and why. Some of my writing is in response to doubters and mockers. Each chapter is a read in and of itself. These chapters have become a collection of short stories that are arranged virtually in the order they were written. The names of most all people, except mine, have been changed to protect everyone. For the most part specific locations have not been identified to affirm that security. Decades ago when I was a trucker, my bride's initials MD became her CB radio skip handle "Dock." She has been more than a doctor to me and, affectionately, I call her Dockie. :o)Our journey will begin as I believed that The Holy Bible was complete, infallible and eternally prophetic. Our direction will innocently drift over a brief detour of believing that the Bible is not trustworthy because of the human factor through the centuries. As we shall see, this "human factor" train of thought is key doctrine in derailing the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3) by Jesus Christ, Apostle Paul, and all the Biblical writers. Only when our minds are detached from the benchmark of Biblical Truth can the occult drift us off course with every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). Finally, our course will merge back onto the eternal Freeway of God's trustworthy Holy Bible. The scenery of observable science will authenticate His preserved written Word.As I read through the Bible, I observe current "last days" world events that were so accurately foretold 2000+ years ago! Again, it is my hope that your interest in Biblical Truth will be stirred by our time together and that ultimately your Bible reading will be paramount in your life. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. Psalm 12:6-7.
