Kayla Hall found inspiration for this heartfelt story of her journey to motherhood in a song she wrote, called I Chose You, which tells the story of her mother's adoption as an infant. As adoption became a part of Kayla and her husband's lives, she often searched for books to read to her children about adoption. Wanting something deeply personal, Kayla transformed the lyrics of her song into this book for her children and others, creating a story that celebrates the beauty of being chosen.
A licensed mental health counselor and clinical addiction counselor, Kayla, is also a volunteer worship leader at her local church, where her love for writing songs was born. This passion continues to inspire her creative work. When she's not writing, Kayla devotes her days to raising her three children and being a loving wife, cherished daughter, and loyal friend. She gives thanks daily for the incredible privilege of being their mom and for the many ways God has guided her family's story.
