Author Biography

Caroline Stuart was an assistant and close friend of the late James Beard in New York City, and was instrumental in founding The Beard Foundation, America's leading institution dedicated to fine cooking. She currently serves as the foundation's vice-president and scholarship director. Caroline is a third-generation Floridian whose family settled in the central part of Florida in the 1870s. She and her husband John have two sons and live with their cat and dog in New Canaan, Connecticut.
