<b>Dr. Paul Jay Edelson</b> is the Dean of the School of Professional Development at the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook. He has published four books, <b>Rethinking Leadership in Adult and Continuing Education</b> (1992), <b>Higher Education's Role in Retraining Displaced Professionals</b> (1997). <b>Enhancing Creativity in Adult and continuing Education</b> (1999), and <b>Weiterbildung in den USA</b> (2000) as well as over eighty articles on leadership, academic planning, electronic distance learning, and creativity. He teaches graduate courses at Stony Brook and Teachers College, Columbia University.
