Clippy the Curious Caribou Calf

Clippy the Curious Caribou Calf is the story of a young caribou whose curiosity-driven adventures explore the wonders of Alaska. From failed attempts at imitating other animals, like flying and climbing trees, Clippy comes to find himself and appreciate his family and who he is.

Leslie "Buzz" Klebesadel was born on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and in 1957 moved to Alaska with his wife. In Palmer, they raised 5 children and and enjoyed 9 grandchildren. Dad was always creating and drawing in his spare time from his career as an agronomist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He wrote and illustrated this book in the early 60's and, in his memory, we hope you enjoy this book and share it with your children and loved ones.

Shant Klebesadel is one of Leslie's 9 Grandchildren who graciously lent his skills to the resurrection of this book that was still only loose pages in color pencil 11 years after Les's passing. You will see the original spirit of every character in Les's hand, but the beautiful colorization and text editing is all Shant. Shant graduated from UCLA and later from Gnomon School in Los Angeles. Shant has always had a passion for art and has done fine work on the Avatar Sequels.
